Ahead of its launch later this month, developer Awaceb has revealed plenty of details on the game, and while exploring its open world with robust traversal mechanics ( like Soul-jumping) will form the backbone of the experience, the game will have a musical side for players to dive into as well. Set on an archipelago inspired by New Caledonia, Tchia follows the titular young heroine in pursuit of her father, who is kidnapped by a tyrant wielding an army of animated paper warriors. Parts of the story will also see the titular protagonist whipping out her instrument to form bonds with other characters through a rhythm-based mechanic- though this will be purely optional, and a fully automatic mode will be available for those who don’t want to engage in the manual one.
